Double Heart Rainbow Pendant

Show your love for all things beautiful with this double heart pendant.

Steel wire was hand-bent into a rectangular shape and layered with a heart and a smaller heart on top. I hand-colored tissue paper with rainbow colors which was then dipped into encaustic medium (a resin and beeswax mixture). The paper was then adhered to the wire and cut into the lovely colorful shape.

This sculptural piece measures 2 inches long x1 1/8 wide and 3/8 inch deep. The pendant comes with a black satin cord, pictured is a 16″ cord. See other available lengths in the additional information tab and please specify the length you would prefer by filling out “Additional Order Notes” during checkout.

Encaustics should be cared for as you would for any fine art piece. Encaustic derives from the word ‘burn in’ and is a process of applying molten wax colors to a surface for the creation of images or decoration that began more than 2 millennia ago with Roman Egyptian wax portraits.
