Ahavani Mullen’s Friendship with the Unknown

On a rainy evening I made my way to Ahavani Mullen’s Opening Reception for her new show.

Chicago Art Source Gallery at 1871 N. Clybourn in Chicago is hosting “Friendship with the Unknown”, a solo show of new work by Chicago based mixed media artist Ahavani Mullen.

The stairs up already showcase Ahavani’s encaustic art work.

Then the gallery wows with an amazing art installation by Ahavani.

I love her use of canvas and aluminum and encaustic to create textures and dimension.

I hope it gets installed in full by a collector!

Her more familiar style is reflected in the other amazing large-scale paintings she created for this show.

I bumped into a few FUSEDChicago friends while I was there and had lovely conversations.

The Show is on display until June 29, 2019. Free parking is available in our lot across the street on Clybourn.

This is just a glimpse of the abstract art you can see there. So swing by between 10-6 Monday-Friday or Saturday between 10-5!
