Phew, what a week it has been! On Wednesday I helped set up the Evanston Made pop up shop at the Evanston Art Center, and the shop and exhibit were both packed during Friday’s opening party.
The group show is amazing, and worth a perusal.
Several artists already had red dots early in the night, and I am sure they also did well the following day during their studio tours.
I had a wonderful trunk show that I will blog about soon.
For now, here is a sneak peek at the fabulous gift items you can obtain at the Evanston Art Center Pop Up Shop.
You can learn more about the artists in the store here. Evanston Art Center is located at 1717 Central Street in Evanston Illinois. Hours are: Mondays-Thursdays: 9 am – 10 pm; Fridays: 9 am – 9 pm; Saturdays and Sundays: 9 am – 4 pm. Galleries are free and open to the public.
The store has beautiful ceramics to utilize in your home.
You can get fiber arts, including scarves, bralettes, pillows, cute figurines, and inspirational stitchings.
Jewelry is abundant and scattered throughout the store, along wth fun mixed media art.
I love the creativity of each artist in this store, and am inspired but what they capture in 2-D and 3-D format.
You can get a variety of cards to mail to loved ones.
My angels and critters are also hoping to be adopted.
Take a quick trip to Central Street to get your art fix on!
Next weekend is Evanston Made Kids, on Saturday June 9 from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm at the Evanston Art Center. This event features a family-friendly FREE day of making, creating, selling and celebrating Evanston’s Young Creatives hosted by the Evanston Art Center!
I return to the store for a shopkeeping stint on Sunday, June 16 from 10 am to 12 pm. Other artists will also pop in and out of the store during the weekends until the shop closes on June 30.
Enjoy a night of art, shopping, bevvies, ladies and community! We’re hosting the annual Evanston Made Pop Up Shop Sip ‘n Shop Sale, June 27, 6-8 p.m. at the Evanston Art Center. Ladies are invited to enjoy adult beverages and enjoy merchandise at the Evanston Made Pop Up Shop: select items on sale!

Before you know it it’s the end of the month and all this beauty will make way for other creations.
